Foamiran Rose Card

Morning, I am back again with a little inspiration using the wonderful Foamiran from 14 Craft Bar. Today I have used the roses to decorate a beautiful decoupage card from Reddy. They make beautiful decoupage cards and what would be better to embellish it, but with some matching Foamiran roses. They really add that finishing touch.

You will Need:
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun
Blue Oil Pastel
Centura Pearl Precious Metal
Blue Card
Centura Pearl White/Silver Card
Reddy Decoupage
Tacky Glue
3D Glue Gel
Tonic Flourishes Die
Weathered Wood Distress Ink
Stamping Card.

Step 1: Cut out your mat and layers, this will depend on the image or decoupage you have chosen to use. I have picked the colours for this to match the colours in my image.

Step 2: Mount the design onto the first layer with Tacky glue.

Step 3: Add the other layers, then add your decoupage layers with 3D Glue gel.

Step 4: I added another layer to my card and then mounted it onto a Centura Pearl base as I wanted a larger finished card.

Step 5: Cut the flourishes from white stamping card, blend a little Weathered Wood Distress Ink to match the image. I have also used a Sakura gold pen, here and there, again to match the image.

Step 6: From 2.5 cm & 3 cm Foamiran squares cut your petal shapes.

Step 7: Take 4 or 5 petals at a time and edge them with the oil pastel, try to choose a colour to match your image.

Step 8: Warm the Foamiran on an iron, concertina fold and twist back and to. Shape the petals and roll some of the petals outwards. See the video below for the simple white rose.

Step 9: Create your roses, layering the petals and securing with the hot glue.

Step 10: Add the roses to your project. I have used 3D glue gel rather than hot glue as it gives you a longer working time to make sure you are happy with positioning.

Here is the finished card:

Thank you so much for joining me again today. I do hope I have given you a little inspiration, maybe another way of using your beautiful Foamiran flowers. Another thing, here is a 30% off voucher to use on your first order (anything) from Hochanda, use code FEY5JBP7.

I do hope you will join me again very soon, to see what else I have to share with you. For now Take care and Happy Crafting.xxx

Red Planet

Morning Friends and Crafters, You all know by now, I hate to just stick to what something is made for or how it is supposed to be used, well the Spectrum Noir Markers were no exception. I decided to experiment and try something different and here are the results, In my Red Planet.

You Will Need:
Spectrum Noir Metallic Markers 'Antique Elements'
Toadstool Home Stamp Set
Sparkle Garden Stamp Set
Clarity Masks & The Moon Negative Mask
Black Card
Blending Sponge

Step 1: Take your black card and using the Clarity hills and mountain masks, form the landscape. Here I added the ink to the mask rather than the blending sponge, Then gently dragged the colour from the mask onto the black card. I used Vintage Satin.

Step 2: Mask the top of the mountains and position the moon negative. Fill the moon with the same colour.

Step 3: Remove all of the masks.

Step 4: Stamp the toadstools, one with the Antique Pearl and the other with the Vintage Satin. Stamp the fairy in black and leave to dry. Mask the top part of the fairy off and re stamp with Vintage Satin. This gives the fairy a good profile against the moon and the hills.

Step 5: Add some birds in the sky with the fine end of your pen, also add a couple in front of the moon in black. Add a sentiment using the Rose Gold Metallic Marker.

Step 6: Use the Vintage Satin to edge another piece of black card, this will be used to mount your piece onto.

Step 7: To finish your card, layer up and secure to your base card.

Thank you ever so much for joining me again today, It's always good to have some company. Another thing, here is a 30% off voucher to use on your first order (anything) from Hochanda, use code FEY5JBP7.

If you have the time, it would be great if you could leave a comment. I sometimes wonder if the age of blogging is passing. Whether people now prefer to see the pictures only on Social Media. Things seem to change so fast nowadays. Anyway for now Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Howl at the Moon

Morning, I am sharing a themed card today, as it's the 2nd of October. Halloween has now become the third biggest 'Event' for UK retailers, behind Christmas and Easter. The spooky night in October has even overtaken Valentines Day. Until recently this was largely associated with our American cousins, but it has been sweeping Britain over the past few years.

Card and Craft sales have been soaring, so now is the time for all craft enthusiasts to get creating. Here is a card I have made for the special night, a little different from what you would typically find. The design could easily be modified for another occasion by changing the colour and embellishments.

You will need:
Matt Black Cardstock
Sheena Stamping Card
Black Distress Ink
Fossilised Amber Distress Ink
Rusty Hinge Distress Ink
Candied Apple Distress Ink
Clarity Landscape Mask and Stencil
Clarity Letterbox Stamps and Masks
Clarity Wee Houses
Bee Crafty Spooky Tree Stamp
Graphic 45 An Eerie Tale 12x12 Pad (or your choice of pad)
Glue,Scissors and Foam on a roll for assembly.

Cut a piece of Sheena Stamping Card to card to measure 7'' square. This is the same size as the clarity mask.

Using the stencil as a guide, stamp the first 3 letterboxes with black Archival ink and add the mask. *Top tip: Work on a piece of copier paper and mark the halfway point to help position the stamping.

Position the next set of 3 letterboxes either side of the first, these will contain the word 'Halloween' later.

Position the inner part of the landscape mask using Stick n Spray, make sure all of your letterboxes are masked.

With all mask in place blend over the card using your Black Soot Distress ink. Clean and remove your masks.

To add further depth to your piece, stamp a tree in the foreground. Here I have used one of the spooky trees.

Position the moon mask and position your outer mask using Stick n Spray.

Starting with the lightest colour(Fossilised Amber), blend around the moon. Then blend to darker with the Rusty Hinge and then Candied Apple.

Tear a piece of copier paper and place over your work, using the darkest colour along with a little black taken from your craft mat, lightly create your landscape.

Next, create your haunted building, here one of the wee houses from Clarity. Use black Versafine to stamp with. Then colour the house with a dark brown Archival marker, using the same pen make a little fence.

Using a small brush and some water add the smallest amount to the windows and doors, lightly blot to remove the colour, this gives  a glowing appearance. Repeat until you are happy.

From the pad, cut out some pumpkins and a sentiment.

To complete the card, layer your design onto a sheet from the same pad with glue. Using foam tape add this to your black 8x8 card base. Then add the embellishments with 3D glue gel.

I hope you like the finished card along with the Tutorial. Another thing, here is a 30% off voucher to use on your first order from Hochanda, use code FEY5JBP7. Take care and Happy Crafting.

Butterfly

Morning Friends and Crafters, I am sharing one of the cards I made for the launch of the Spectrum Noir Metallic Markers on Hochanda. I have kept the card fairly simple using the markers to colour the butterfly. Just take a look at just how well the markers stamp, I used them to stamp the sentiment.

You Will Need:
Spectrum Noir Metallic Markers (Antique Elements)
A Butterfly From the Sheena Collection
Sentiment from 'A little Bit Scenic' ''Flying Colours'
Dandelion Stamp
Black and White Embossing Powder
Anti Static Bag
Versamark Ink Pad
White Gesso
Centura Pearl Purple (Darks Collection)
Black Card Base
Black Card

Step 1: Wipe over your card with an Anti Static Bag.

Step 2: Stamp the butterfly and the dandelion clock with Versamark ink. Cover the Butterfly with Black Powder and the dandelion with the White. Then heat to melt the embossing powder.

Step 3: Colour the Butterfly with Antique Pearl and Vintage Satin Metallic Markers.

Step 4: Mask the butterfly, Then add a very small amount of water to some white Gesso, add quite a lot of fine white splats, I find the easiest way is to use a fan brush.

Step 5: Mount a piece of the purple Centura Pearl onto your Black Card Base, Stamp your sentiment onto a piece of black card with the Rose Gold Metallic Marker, mount onto a piece of purple.

Step 6; Secure your finished image to the base using Tacky glue.

Step 7: Add your layered sentiment onto the card with 3D Glue Gel.

Here is the finished card: Another thing, here is a 30% off voucher to use on your first order from Hochanda, use code FEY5JBP7.
