Autumn Glow

Morning Friends and Crafters. Did you manage to see the One Day Special shows last night from Clarity. The shows are always full of inspiration from the wonderful Design Team and of course the demonstrations. Have you got yours secure and on it's way. As promised today I am sharing a tutorial for one of the card samples I made for this launch.

You will need:
Little Bird Stencil
Letterbox Stamps and Masks
Gilding Flakes
Flitter Glue
Tacky Glue
Washi or Masking Tape
Black Card
Scoochy
Phat Foam

Step 1: Place the stencil onto your black card and run through the machine to emboss. You want to get a really deep emboss on the card. The deeper the better.

Step 2: Double check that your stencil is perfectly lined up and secure it with tape.

Step 3: Using phat foam or similar apply the flitter glue, through the stencil, light taps. **Wash your stencil straight away, or at least put it in a bowl of water**

Step 4: Gently add the flakes to your piece and smooth over with your finger. Once covered completely remove the excess flakes. Next use a scoochy to burnish and polish the flakes, this will also remove and more excess and define the design. I don't remember the name of these as I had decanted them into a larger container, but I chose a warm mix. Create a layer for this topper, edge another piece of black card with the flitter glue and flake, Mount the topper onto this.

Step 5: Position you topper onto the base card to help position your 'Autumn' word. Use the letterbox stamps and flitter glue to add this to your base card. Add the flake as before.

Step 6: Mount your topper onto the base card using Tacky glue.

Here is the finished card:

Red Planet

Morning Friends and Crafters, You all know by now, I hate to just stick to what something is made for or how it is supposed to be used, well the Spectrum Noir Markers were no exception. I decided to experiment and try something different and here are the results, In my Red Planet.

You Will Need:
Spectrum Noir Metallic Markers 'Antique Elements'
Toadstool Home Stamp Set
Sparkle Garden Stamp Set
Clarity Masks & The Moon Negative Mask
Black Card
Blending Sponge

Step 1: Take your black card and using the Clarity hills and mountain masks, form the landscape. Here I added the ink to the mask rather than the blending sponge, Then gently dragged the colour from the mask onto the black card. I used Vintage Satin.

Step 2: Mask the top of the mountains and position the moon negative. Fill the moon with the same colour.

Step 3: Remove all of the masks.

Step 4: Stamp the toadstools, one with the Antique Pearl and the other with the Vintage Satin. Stamp the fairy in black and leave to dry. Mask the top part of the fairy off and re stamp with Vintage Satin. This gives the fairy a good profile against the moon and the hills.

Step 5: Add some birds in the sky with the fine end of your pen, also add a couple in front of the moon in black. Add a sentiment using the Rose Gold Metallic Marker.

Step 6: Use the Vintage Satin to edge another piece of black card, this will be used to mount your piece onto.

Step 7: To finish your card, layer up and secure to your base card.

Thank you ever so much for joining me again today, It's always good to have some company. Another thing, here is a 30% off voucher to use on your first order (anything) from Hochanda, use code FEY5JBP7.

If you have the time, it would be great if you could leave a comment. I sometimes wonder if the age of blogging is passing. Whether people now prefer to see the pictures only on Social Media. Things seem to change so fast nowadays. Anyway for now Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Joy with the Clarity Townhouse Three Way Overlay Stamps

Morning everyone great to be sharing another card with you today. This is a card I made for the show with Barbara on Sundays show. I do hope you all enjoyed the celebration for the 25 Years of Clarity.

You will need:
Clarity Three way Overlay Townhouse Stamp Set
Clarity Moon Mask
Clarity 'Joy' Word Chain Stamps
Versamark Black Ink Pad
Metro Grey Ink Pad
Distress Ink Pads: Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot
Basic Rectangle Die
Copier Paper
Washi Tape
Black Fine Liner Pen
Ruler
White Stamping Card
Chipped Sapphire Core'dinations card
White Card Base

Step 1: Mask off the top edge of your outline stamp with Washi tape, Ink up your outline stamp with Versafine, remove the tape and stamp your design. Allow room at the top of your card to extend the image.

Step 2: Use the positive stamp with Metro Grey ink, I stamped twice to give a stronger colour.

Step 3: Cut a basic rectangle die into your copier paper to form a  mask in line with the stamped lines. Line up and secure to your design. Add the mask included to protect the houses, then add the moon mask in the sky.

Step 4: Using your lightest Distress ink, start building up the colour in the sky, then add more using the other 2 colours, remember less is more when it comes to Black Soot. Keep the colour lighter towards the roof tops, where the moonlight will be.

Step 5: Using the fine liner and ruler, elongate the box frame around the design. Then stamp the 'Joy' partly within the moon.

Step 6: Mount onto a piece of Chipped Sapphire card (remember to gut it with a die to use on another project). Secure this to your base card.

Here is the finished card:

Many thanks for joining me today, I do hope you have enjoyed the tutorial and the finished card I have shared. I do hope you will join me again very soon as I always have something to share with you. For now Take care and Happy Crafting.xxx
