A Slice of Heaven - Launch of the New Craftascope Collection

Morning Friends and Crafters. This is a really exciting and very special day for me. After such a long wait,my New 'Slice of Heaven' Collection from Craftascope is being launched today by the wonderful Lou Withers. It would have been amazing if I could have been there myself, but I am so very lucky to have such a marvelous Crafter launching it on Hochanda today. I'm sharing one of the cards I've made using a selection of Stamps and Dies, along with a beautiful stamp from Clarity Stamp.

I believe that the 'Slice of Heaven' Collection is one of the most versatile ones I have brought to you so far. As always they are perfect for all of your Paper & Cardcraft projects, however they are designed be used perfectly with Fabric as well. You can easily create your own bespoke fabrics. With many of the stamps, there's also the option to use them for Quilting. With a little patience you could even try micro-quilting.

I am decorating at the moment, the stamp I have used in the card comes in 3 sizes across the collection.I am using the largest of these to create a feature wall and I will share the photos as soon as it's finished. To give you an idea, I have stamped a sheet of A3 paper, obviously for the wall I will be spacing the stamps further apart.

The same stamps can also be used to make the most gorgeous flowers, either using one size stamp or a mix of the sizes together. If you have the thicker type Chinese rice paper they make stunning poppies. If you would to use them with foamiran, be careful to choose the correct ink and a light colour to stamp with.

Having the versatility in a collection is the key and having so many other options is always a good thing. The stamps are sized perfectly to work across any project from ATC's to Scrapbook pages as well as larger Home Decor projects. They work wonderfully with the Craftascope Heat Transfer Paints, also available on the website.

I had quite a few requests for Spanish Phrases, so in this collection I have included a couple which are great to use in greeting cards and scrapbook pages. There are so many options with the whole collection and I really hope to see some of your creations.

There's far too much to share in a blog post, so I will be sharing other ideas over time as well as youtube videos. For now I do hope you will tune into the shows with Lou tonight and Saturday Morning. It's really good to be back with you.If you have shopped on my Etsy, you should have received a thank you voucher, if you didn't and would like to shop the code is FEEDBACK15 and will give you 15%off anything in store. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Finished Mixed Media Journal & Much More

Hi Friends & Crafters, Well quite a lot to share with you today, so I have this blog post and a youtube video tonight at 7 pm, I do hope you will join me. Here I am sharing the finished journal along with a colourful cover made with the Magic Mixed Media Paper along with the Heat Transfer paints.

Before I share the 'How to' I would like to let you know that I have added the final offer to my Etsy Store today. For the next week, you can enjoy 40% off of all orders over 60 GBP. This is a limited offer, running until midnight on the 17th October. There are limited numbers  and once they are gone, they're gone.

For the Journal cover you will need:

Craftascope Floral Companions Dies
Craftascope Heat Transfer Paints by Colourist
Magic Media Paper
Copier Paper
Pokey Tool
Thread
Needle
PVA glue (I recommend Phill's Sentimentally Yours)

Step 1: Measure and cut out the amount of copier paper you will need to cover your journal, being sure to allow 1/2'' for overlapping the edges. Cut the same from the Magic Media Paper.

Step 2: Create strips of copier paper, painted with the Heat Transfer Paints.

Step 3: Cut a selection of leaves from copier paper, painted with the Heat Transfer Paints. Cut at least 5 layers at a time when using thin papers to lessen the damage on your cutting plates.

Step 4: Position and secure a black die cut behind each leaf to create a drop shadow.

Step 5: Secure the strips of paper across the copier paper blank.

Step 6: Arrange the leaves and secure to your design.

Step 7: Place face down onto your Magic Media paper, then transfer your design to the cover.

Step 8:  Use a tool to make holes for your stitching.

Step 9: Stitch using your chosen colour of thread. If you have it available, wax your thread for strength.

Step 10: Here's an alternate design, this time I used scraps (as described in the video).

Here are both finished Journals.

I do hope you will join me later this evening for the Youtube video at 7 pm. It will be nice to chat. I am also going to share some of my new Craftascope goodies with you along with some samples from the Design Team, using previous collection. I have also got some projects and artwork from Friends & Customers to share with you. One of my Crafty friends has painted the most beautiful picture of my Nan, here is a photo, but I will show it in real life too. I just couldn't believe how beautiful it is.

It's been wonderful to receive your beautiful cards and artwork. Here is the link for tonights video, It will play from here, but if you watch on youtube you can join the chat.

Your support has always meant such a great deal to me over the years, since starting my blog. Without you I wouldn't have continued, so I want you to know how grateful I am to each and everyone of you. Take care & Happy Crafting.xxx

Patchwork, Fun With 1'' Blocks

Morning Friends and Crafters, Hope you are all well and ready for another video today, it would be lovely if you would like to join me tonight at 7 pm. This evening I will be sharing the finished blocks from last week. This weeks block is all about the 1'' square block. I for one don't have the sewing skills or confidence to ensure all the points match up perfectly, so this is a wonderful shortcut.

I hope that this new technique will help you too and if you are totally new like me, then maybe it will give you the confidence to try it yourself. I still think the best bit of this is creating your very own fabric designs, it's been such great fun.

The patterns and colour mixes, really do give you the most amazing effects. I've spent so much time looking at the different effects, it's just so interesting and beautiful. Here's the link for this evenings video, I hope to see you at 7 pm (UK Time) on the Youtube Channel.

To celebrate the first year of Craftascope Makes on Facebook, The anniversary of the first year of bringing you Craftascope Products along with just adding the 40th video on my Youtube Channel, I will be doing a few very special offers on my Etsy store, so do watch out.

The first of the Offers is now live, SAVE A WHOPPING 30% OFF OF 2 OF THE MOST POPULAR COLLECTIONS, THIS RUNS UNTIL SUNDAY AT MIDNIGHT, It is a limited offer, so will end if the stock goes first.

The next part of the Patchwork series, if you have missed any of the others, do take a look they are full of hints, Tips and shortcuts. Im sure true and experienced patch worker's  wouldn't like it, but I know I dont have the skill or confidence for some of the smaller blocks so for me this is great and if it means I can help and give someone else the confidence to try then I am very pleased.

There will be another next Wednesday at 7 pm as well so I do hope you enjoy it. If there is anything you would like me to include in future videos please do add your comments to the video. It's always nice to know what you would like to see or need help with.

Introducing Elaine Mellor to the Craftascope Design Team

Hi Friends and Crafters, There are just 2 more new Design Team Members to share with  you, so today I would like to take the time to introduce you to Elaine Mellor. I have had the pleasure to work with Elaine before when we were both members of Leonie Pujols Design team. Here is what Elaine would like to share with you:

Hi, I'm 43 and I have been crafting for around 15 years. I love Paper Craft and Stamping is a passion of mine and I love to unwind in my craft room. I do try to do something creative everyday, even if it's just a little bit of colouring.

I am super excited to be working with Nick again and the rest of the design team. I am really looking forward to getting started.

Thank you ever so much to Elaine, I am sure you will join me in welcoming her to the Craftascope Family. I am sure you will look forward to seeing her creations.

In case you've not seen the latest videos on my youtube channel here is a link to the first half of a 2 part video. In this video I have shared a few demonstrations using the new Heat Transfer Paints. I have also shared a few valuable hints and tip and there will be more to come. If you have any requests or questions along with anything you would like to see, please leave them below the video and I will make sure these are covered in the videos as soon as possible.

I have been waiting patiently for my heat press to arrive, having arranged a courier to collect it and deliver it to me here in Bulgaria. I have found out this morning that DPD have lost it. Goodness knows how you can lose such a large parcel. It really is the end, why on earth does everything seem so difficult. Just when I though my spell of bad luck had come to an end. I will be taking this further, especially as DPD seem to want to pass the blame onto me for the loss. I will keep you updated, but for now it's back to the iron.x Hope you will join me again tomorrow, when I will share the final addition to the Craftascope Design Team. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

We all really love to see the inspiration, so please dont be shy. Today I am introducing you to Sue Davies, one of the wonderful new additions to the Craftascope Design Team. I do hope you will take a look at the creations on my blog and welcome her along. Here is what Sue would like to share.

Hi My name's Sue Davies. also known in crafty blogland as Sue The Iron. I live in the North of England with my long suffering Husband Neil and I have been crafting for about 12 years.

Like most people I started with a kit that fitted into an A4 box and now my hobby has taken over the entire house!!
Stamping has always been my first love, I will never forget the first time I saw embossing powder heat up. I was instantly hooked.

After watching Nick on the Hochanda TV Channel, I knew that I had to become part of the 'Craftascope' Family and I am really excited to now join his super talented Design Team.

Thank you ever so much Sue, Really great to have you on board.xxx

I am still having  a lot of questions with regard to the Mugs and the machine I used on Hochanda. I added the links yesterday, so please do take a look. I will be sharing a lot of video over the next few weeks on the recently Launched Regal Rose collection and of course the new Craftascope Heat Transfer paints. Day 3,Welcome Brian to The Craftascope Design Team & MORE

Morning to you all, Today I am introducing you to Brian, who has joined the Craftascope Design Team. The new members of the team have been carefully selected, it's been important to me to ensure that all of the Craftascope collections and individual elements will suit all styles of crafting and allow crafters to create a wide range of projects. The stamps are made from Thermo Plastic Rubber, giving all the benefits of rubber while remaining clear for perfect positioning and pattern building. Here is Brian to tell you a little about himself, over time I am sure you will get to know him and the others very well.

Hi Peeps, my name is Brian & I live in West Sussex with my Beautiful Partner Phillipa. My creativity has been with me for such a long time, firstly Drawing the Pyrography, Glass Engraving & Jewellery Design.

I am passionate about recycling, so I try to use this in as much of my crafting as I can. I became addicted to Card Making well over 20 years ago when I was recovering from another addiction.

It's not just Card Making that I love, but papercrafting in general, to me Paper is a medium in it's own right. My love of Craftascope began when I watched Nick on Hochanda, he used fresh & inspirational designs which I love &so my Journey begins with this new Chapter.

I hope you all join me in welcoming Brian to the Craftascope Family. I am sure everyone will be looking forward to seeing the creations.

Watch out for new videos from me very soon, I am looking forward to having the time to share more of the Regal Rose collection with you as time seemed to vanish on the last shows. I will also be sharing a lot more information and demos using the Craftascope Heat Transfer Paints. These are very exciting and superb quality it's been great seeing some of the creations already. Here's the Hochanda show with Alex.

I have had so many questions about the Heat press and the Mugs I used, so I am sharing it here again along with the links.

The heat press is a 5 in 1 press, I have gone with an unbranded machine which saved a fortune compared with the branded ones which can be between 300 and 500 pounds. This is an excellent machine that offers great value, it's on Ebay at  108.50, but I have spoken to the seller and he will accept an offer of 105.00, I want you to know that I am not getting any financial gain from the sales of these machines or any commission, I am just recommending them as a good alternative to the brands. THIS IT THE LINK TO THE MACHINE ON EBAY.

Here are the mugs I used on the show, I found them to be great value and excellent quality, the seller offers excellent service and each mug comes in a white box so great for gifts and easily decorated. Once again I am not on any commission from this seller and get no financial or other payment for sharing this information. I am here to help and these are what I use and would recommend based on my experience. HERE IS THE LINK FOR THE MUGS.

Finally Just to remind you of the discount code I have shared for use on my Etsy Site, SCPMAG20. This will give you 20% off everything in store other than the Heat Paints, Extender and Thickener. I hope you will find something on there that you like. CRAFTASCOPE SHOP LINK.
