Tea and Cake anyone?

Morning, Here is my first Tutorial using the wonderful Vintage Tea Party collection from Sara's Signature Range. The one day special is well under way now, I hope you got to see some of the shows last night. There are more shows today at 9 am, 1 pm and Final Call at 5 pm. My card today uses just one dies set along with the stamp set.

For this card you will need:
Archival Coffee ink pad
Walnut Stain Distress ink pad
Stamping card
Matt black card
Centura Pearl Hint of Silver
Core'Dinations Tim Holtz Collection

Step 1: Take your stamping card 20 x 14 cm. With Archival coffee, create a background around the edges of your card, using first and second generation ink. There's no need to cover the whole of your card as your topper will sit on top.

Step 2: Layer this onto Matt black card using tacky glue and then secure to your base card blank.

Step 3: In the corner of your topper card Stamp the tea pot and cup stamp, slightly off the page, use the Coffee Archival for this.

Step 4: Using copier paper mask off your card, leaving a gap in the middle, this will create a centre panel on your card. Use the same stamp for this, using Walnut Stain Distress ink.

Step 5: Now stamp the TEA, also using the Walnut Stain. Then layer onto Matt black card, position onto your base using either foam tape or 3D glue gel.

Step 6: Create the wonderful cup cake topper, using your chosen colours from the distress collection. I also added Ivory Centura Pearl behind the cake base. The cherry was cut twice, once in green (for the stalks) and red for the fruit. Stick just the cherries over the green, add glossy accents to the cherries. Build up the cake and secure it to your card using 3D glue gel.

Thank you for visiting today, I hope you have enjoyed the tutorial along with the finished card. I would love to have your comments and feedback. I do enjoy reading them, especially if you like what I have shared. More to come so I hope you will join me.

Part 2 of my Flower Embellishment Series will be published on the Hochanda Blog, so I hope you will join me there. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx
