Summer Flowers

Morning, My card today is 'Summer Flowers' made using the stamp and Die collection Leonie launched on Hochanda. They are a really versatile set and suit absolutely any card. I have really enjoyed crafting with them. They also mix  well with all of Leonie's other collections.

Firstly, I took four pieces of domino sized Stampbord, placed together in the pattern I wanted and stamped the large flower with Memento ink. Then I was able to move them apart and the eye would fill in the gaps.

Next I stamped a selection of the blooms and leaves from Leonie's collection with Memento Ink. I only wanted one bloom for the corner.

Next I masked the blooms on my Stampbord with Pebeo Drawing Gum. When dry, I coloured the background with Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink.

I then moved onto the background for the project, using a selection of blue distress inks, I built up a background using the colours to give texture.

Next I took word stamps from the collection and built up my design using first, second and third generation ink.

Next I took some scrunched up plastic packaging and applied more of the blues to add even more texture and bring the design together.

I secured my Stampbord design, which I had coloured with a selection of alcohol markers. The Stampbord is great for different effects with alcohol markers as it blends differently letting you add texture to the image. I also added the large flower to the corner of the project and trimmed level with the frame.

Lastly I shaped my flowers and leaves with a ball tool and foam mat, Then arranged around the corner and sides of my design with 3D glue gel. I added some cosmic shimmer glue dots in the centre of the flowers and added some Black Distress Glitter.

Finally to finish off my card, I added a sentiment from the collection which I put inside the circle stamp.

Thank you so much for visiting today. I really hope you have enjoyed the step by step I have shared. Thank you again for all of your comments, I am so sorry I have not answered all of them, I have had awful trouble with the computer and it's taken all my time to keep my posts up to date. I do read them all and love hearing what you think. Take care and hope you will pop back again.xxx
