Handmade Silk Ribbon Roses

Hello Everyone. I am happy to share something scary, but very exciting at the same time A VIDEO SHOW. I had a lot of requests from people to show how I made the Silk Ribbon Roses or some of my cards. So here goes.

I really hope you enjoy this video and that it shows as well as possible how to make them. I wouldn't have been any help to do this by pictures. I was incredibly nervous doing this and it was difficult to work with the camera in between me an my hands. But hopefully it's not too bad.

I really would value your comments, but please be kind it is the very first time I have ever made a video.

This technique can be used for any ribbon or material, Be careful as the glue gun and glue are very hot. If you use anything like Hessian please be extra careful as there are gaps in the weave and the hot glue hurts.

Just before I go, I would like to share some other exciting news. There is a Brand New Launch from Leonie Pujol On Wednesday Night (8 June) on Hochanda at 8pm and through out the following day at 9am, 12 noon, 4pm and Last Chance at 7pm. Hope you enjoy the shows, I will be sharing some of my samples at Launch.

Thank you so much and hope you will visit again.xx

  8. Brilliant video and very clear. Great visual without talking which can distract. How long, roughly, should the ribbon or fabric be, please. Will try this, this evening.

    1. Hi Pamela. Thank you so much for your comments, so glad you are going to have a go. It's very difficult to say how much you need as it all depends on the size of bloom or bud you would like to make. What I tend to do is work from the roll, that way you dont get any waste. If you cut it first you can waste quire a lot over a few roses. A little bud can use maybe 2 or 3 inches a larger rose could be 12 -14 inches. Hope that helps.xx
