Deerscape

Morning, For this card I used the stamps and Sparkle pens that Leonie launched on Hochanda this week. I also used the pens to stamp which worked incredibly well and gave a wonderful effect.

To start with I positioned the beautiful Deer and added some stars in the sky. I then masked these off with Pebeo Drawing Gum.

Using only Shaded Lilac I added some landscape with some torn copier paper. I added the smallest amount of Black Soot Distress Ink for the mountains. I then used Cobalt from the 'Frosty Christmas' to stamp the trees. The I used the same pen to add a couple of plants.

To make the foreground appear a lot lighter, I concentrated the colour in the sky around the moon moon mask. I wanted a very dark sky so I used the Cobalt Sparkle pen applied with a smoothie. I had plenty of water for fading towards the middle as well. I also added quite a bit of Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges.

After removing the drawing gum, I coloured the stars using Lemon from the 'Bright Lights' collection. I then used a very watery mix of the Copper to colour the deer, adding slightly darker areas for shading. I love the stance of the deer, it has such movement.

I mounted the design onto Silver Pearl card and then onto a black base card.

Thank you for visiting the blog today. I hope you enjoyed the step by step I have shared and the finished piece. Hope to see you all again, Take care and Happy Crafting.xx
