All Occasion Card

Hi Crafters and Friends, Great to be with you again today with a little more inspiration using Foamiran and accessories from 14 Craft Bar. For the past week I have been busy making Christmas Cards, it looks like the colour schemes for this year are going to suit me down to the ground. My card today is made with a colour combination I adore, I just love all shades and tones of blues and combining them with white really set them off. I have included Poinsettias and my favourite roses, I do hope you will take a look. I have deliberately left the card sentiment free, as this card could quite easily suit any occasion.

You will need:
Blue Foamiran 015 Navy  (Also in the Winter Set)
White Foamiran 001 White (Also in the Winter Set)
Dark Green Foamiran 021 (Also in the Irish Set)
Glue Gun
Glitter
PVA Glue
Sue Wilson Lavish Accented Octagon
Sue Wilson Double Stitched Octagon
Sprigs/Twigs dies or similar
Blue Card
White Card

Step 1: Cut a selection of rose petals from 2.5'' x 2.5'' & 3'' x 3'' Squares.

Step 2: Shape you petals, cupping them and frilling the edges as shown in my last video. (Here is the link)

Step 3: Cut a selection of Poinsettias  in blue and white foamiran.

Step 4: Roll and twist them and leave for 10-15 mins.

Step 5: Unfold and straighten very slightly.

Step 6: Assemble your flowers, edge them with PVA and add some clear or AB glitter to give a frosty look.

Step 7: Cut and Mount your chosen card layers.

Step 8: Layer your card pieces onto an 8 x 8 card base. Here I have used Silver white Centura Pearl.

Step 9: Arrange your flowers and secure them in place. Your card is now finished and ready to add your chosen sentiment.
And a close up of the blooms:

Thank you ever so much for joining me today, I have really enjoyed making this card to show you so I hope you have enjoyed the tutorial. Would love to hear from you and any comments or questions. For now Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Christmas Joy

Morning, Today's card has been made with papers from the paper pads and the New Wonder Embossing Crystals that Justin & Gordon from Be Creative launched on Hochanda for the Birthday Week.

The paper pads have been great to work with and are such great quality. I took the pine tree sheet from the pad for this card and used the full sheet.

To start with I blended around the edges just to add a little distressing, here I used Faded Jeans, but any of the blues would work well for this particular card depending on your embellishments.

From an identical sheet from the pad I cut 'Joy' from Sue Wilson along with a frame from the same die set. I cut an inner oval on a sheet of plain card which I had already stuck a Wonder Sheet to.

I took another sheet of card which was covered with a Wonder Sheet, from this I cut a selection of poinsettias in different sizes using a die set from Sue Wilson.

Next I added some Faded Jeans Distress Ink to the 'Joy' and the frame.

I stuck the oval Wonder Sheet to the back of my main oval after peeling the coating off, I placed the 'Joy' back inside.

I then poured over 'Midnight Blue' Diamond Sparkles which stuck to the wonder sheet. I also secured the frame using Cosmic Shimmer.

I stamped my sentiment from the new stamp set and layered the card onto cream and blue card.

Using foam tape I raised the 'Joy' topper from the card for dimension.

Having embossed all of the poinsettias using the Celebration Red Wonder Crystals, I shaped them with a ball tool, layered them and secured to my card using Collall 3D glue gel.

I am so pleased that you have stopped by to look at the finished project. I do hope that you have enjoyed the Step by Step. Please stop by again very soon. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Men's Gilded Birthday Card

Morning, I really hope you liked the card I shared yesterday, I loved using the stamps and I was really pleased with it. Today I am sharing a card I made for a friends birthday. It's quite a simple card, where the dies do most of the work, but I think it;s very effective. The friend loves gardening so I have added flowers, but I think by keeping it simple and using the gilding wax make it suitable.

I cut out the ''Falling Leaves' Die from Sue Wilson, these dies really are amazing and make your project look really special without even trying. I used the second die in the set without any cutting edge. Ii wanted the design to remain in the card and to have the area in the centre for my sentiment. My black card base was A4 scored in half to give an equal border around the edge.

On some matching black cardstock from my bit box, I cut out the alphabet to create 'Happy Birthday' and a corner die to embellish.

I used the Pebeo Gilding Wax to colour the words.embellishment and the die cut area in my base card. Firstly I used the silver, covering quite a lot of the surface, then gradually built up the effect with dabs of Empire and Renaissance gold.

I used Cosmic Shimmer Glue to adhere my sentiment and embellishment, then lifted ares within the die to give dimension. Behind the die cut aperture, I cut down a piece of Blue Centura Pearl  from the 'Brights' selection from Crafters Companion.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you like the finished card and the step by step I have shared with you. Many thanks and hope to see you all soon. xx

Chinese Lantern using Leonie Pujols New Stamp Collection

Morning Everyone. I hope you enjoyed last nights show, I thought it was great and I am looking forward to more demos from Leonie today. This morning I want to share  the Chinese lantern that I made using Leonie's Stamps, here I used the butterflies from The Flight To Freedom set.

To start with I cut 4 rectangles measuring 14 x 18 cm, from black card, which was the size I needed for the particular dies I used, Sue Wilson's Australian Background and Scattered Leaves Background. For these dies, score each rectangle at 1 cm, to give a tab for assembly. Then I centred the dies into each of the sections, two of each (don't forget to allow for the tab).

Then using red liner tape I attached the panels together alternately. Leave the last tab unstuck to allow easy access to the inside to adhere the parchment later.

To make the graduated box lid I cut 3 squares of black card:
Box lid 1: 15 1/2 cm square, scored at 1 cm on all sides,
Box lid 2: 10 cm square, scored at 1/2 cm and 1 1/2 cm on all sides. The 1/2 cm allows for a tab to adhere to box lid 1.
Box lid 3: 5 1/2 cm Square, scored at 1/2 cm and 1 1/2 cmm on all sides. The 1/2 cm allows for the tab to adhere to box lid 2.

These were then made up and glued using red liner tape, before securing the top lid I made a hole and threaded a chain through and secured behind so that it was hidden once assembled.

I placed plain parchment behind the Scattered leaves section with red liner tape and set aside. I then cut two more pieces of parchment to fit the Australian Background panels. I stamped the butterflies in each panel using a White Stazon ink pad. The I embossed the outline using a small ball tool and added whitework using a larger ball tool. Then I coloured them using a selection of alcohol markers.

Finally I stuck the parchment into the frame using red liner tape and closed the tab. I added a closure flap at the bottom but as this is a lantern cover it is not really required. If you do want to add the flap, the measurements for this box are 13 x 16 cm scored at 1 cm from one end and 2cm from the opposite end. The 1 cm creates the tab to be secured using red liner tape and the 2 cm forms the flap.

I hope you have enjoyed this share from Leonies new collection. Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you will visit again. There's more to come. Take care xx
