Spring Shabby Chic

Morning, Great to see you all after the Easter break. I do hope you all have a great time. Today I am sharing a tutorial of one of the samples I made for the Spring Summer collection, Fiona launched this on Friday, if you missed the shows they are on Catch Up via the Hochanda website. Pleased dont forget that Fiona has more shows today with the new collection of Easel Dies at 9 am, 1 pm and Final Call at 5 pm.

You will need:
Spring Collection Die, Stamp and Embossing Set.
Sheena Stamping Card
Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink
Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink
Yellow Alcohol Marker
Basic Circle Die
Adhesives: 3D Glue Gel, Foam pads, Tacky Glue

Step 1: Take a sheet of the card 15 cm square and another just slightly smaller.

Step 2: Mark the centre of your smaller square, to see where you will be positioning your decorative elements.

Step 3: Cut the detail into the smaller piece, then cut a larger basic circle into the larger piece.

Step 4: Emboss the larger piece of card

Step 5: Cut the extra dies detail onto some card and colour the flower petals with a yellow marker. Then secure this behind your original design, making sure that the petals on the upper design are not secured. The will be lifted later to reveal the colour beneath.

Step 6: Rub over your embossed design with a white wax crayon.

Step 7: Blend over with blueprint sketch, all over the embossed design making sure you use plenty of colour. When dry buff over with kitchen roll to reveal the finish. Secure your design behind with tacky glue.

Step 8: Take a piece of card for the background, Using just blueprint sketch, blend downwards from dark to light. Position behind your design and trim to leave a narrow white border.

Step 9:Create a mat  for your card with a 2 cm border. Emboss using the same folder as before, colour with Blueprint Sketch and then highlight the raised areas with Chipped Sapphire.

Step 10: To finish, secure this behind your card using foam pads for depth. Then finally layer onto a white Centura Pearl card base.

Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed the tutorial along with the finished card. Hope to see you again very soon as there is plenty more to share. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx
