Autumn Sunset With 3 Way Overlay Stamps

Morning friends and crafters, Today's card uses the lovely  Autumn 3 Way overlay stamps from Clarity. Barbara launched them on her show on the 28th October. If you missed the show, they will still be available on 'Rewind' via the Hochanda website, do take a look they are always filled with lots of inspiration from the other Design Team members and of course Barbara's demos.

You Will Need:
Letterbox Alphabet Stamps and Mask set
Autumn 3 Way Overlay Stamps (Tree)
Black Archival Ink Pad
Distress Oxides: Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, Aged Mahogany, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot
White Stamping Card 4 x 4''
White Stamping Card 5 x 5''
Black Card
Tacky Glue

Step 1: On the smaller of the 2 pieces of stamping card, take the infill stamp and use the Aged Mahogany, Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade  and stamp to look like the sunset on an autumn evening, when the sun is low in the sky.

Step 2:Use Archival ink to add the outline to really make the tree stand out.

Step 3: For the background infill, I have used Blueprint Sketch but edged the stamp with a little black soot to enhance the frame and draw your eye into the image.

Step 4:To finish your card, blend around the edges with Aged Mahogany, then mount onto black card, leaving a slim border. Repeat this with the larger stamping card which will be your next layer. Mount it on to black card as before, layer both of these onto your base card.

Just a little extra here: If you have not shopped with Hochanda before, here is a voucher code giving you 30% off your first purchase (FEY5JBP7) it can be used for any purchase, feel free to share it.

Great to have your company today. I do hope you have enjoyed the tutorial I have shared along with the finished card. Please pop by again soon to see what else I have to share with you. For now Take care and Happy Crafting.xxx

Card Box and Notelets

Morning Friends and Crafters, I have a full project here for you today, It's a little card box and Notelets. It would make a lovely little gift for someone, or you could even make them to sell for yourself or for a special charity. For these I have used the wonderful stamps from Clarity 'A Little Bird' collection.

I have a special and very exciting post over on the Hochanda Blog today as well, if you get time it would be great if you would take a look and even better if you could leave a comment there.

You will Need:
Clarity 'A little Bird' Stamps
Acetate
Centura Pearl Box 6 x 6'' Finished Size
Amsterdam Acrylics
Versafine Black Ink Pad
Stayzon Black Ink
Basic Square Die
Tacky Glue
Red Liner Tape
 Selection of Coordinating Distress Oxides
Watercolour Card
Black Card
Centura Pearl Card Bases

For the Box:

Step 1: Start by cutting 2 x 8'' squares of Centura Pearl card. Score at 1'' on each side, use your big score and score one on the base side and one on the lid side of your board. Make sure you know which is your lid. In the lid cut an aperture approximately 4'' (just slightly bigger than the stamped image so you get a border.

Step 2: Stamp you design on Acetate, using Stayzon black ink. Then on the reverse, paint the design with the Amsterdam Acrylics.

Step 3: Cut the Acetate about 1 cm larger than the aperture.

Step 4: Secure behind the aperture using red liner tape.

For the Notelets:

Step A: On the watercolour card, make a selection of backgrounds for your notelets. Use colours that you feel work together. Add these colours to a large stamping block and spritz the block and the card, then apply. You can get some really interesting patterns like this. Leave them to dry.

Step B: Stamp your design on to each coloured background and mount onto black card. Cut a base card, leaving enough space to stamp one of the word chains on each one.

Step C: Repeat this for each one of your notelets, one for each of the colour selections you have chosen.

and here is a selection with the finished box:

Thank you, I am so pleased you have stopped by today. I do hope you have enjoyed the tutorial along with the finished project. Another thing, here is a 30% off voucher to use on your first order (anything) from Hochanda, use code FEY5JBP7.

I do have a post on the Hochanda blog today so it would be great if you could take a look and it you have time to leave a comment. For now Take care and Happy Crafting.xxx

Tree of Life

Morning, Great too have you join me this morning. I am sharing one of the cards I made for the launch of 'A Little Bird' stamps and stencils from Clarity, Barbara launched them last weekend. If you would like to watch the shows for inspiration, they should still be available on "Rewind' via the Hochanda website.

You Will Need:
Clarity 'A Little Bird' Stencil
Clarity 'Life' From the Stamp Club
Clear Embossing Powder
White Stamping Card
Centura Pearl White/Silver Base Card
Black Card
Distress Oxide Blueprint Sketch
Distress Oxide Seedless Preserves
Distress Oxide Wilted Violet
Versamark Ink Pad
Black Soot Distress Ink

Step 1: Ink up the reverse of your stencil, using the Distress Oxide Inks. Then run through your machine, this will give a wonderful emboss to the finished image. Coat this with clear embossing powder and heat. Next stamp 'Life' using Versamark and again heat emboss with the clear powder.

Step 2: Use Black Soot to completely cover the whole area. You want to get a really dark solid black. Trim around the full stencil, including the rounded corners.

Step 3: Mount onto black card, leaving a very narrow border, ten mount onto your white base card.

This technique gives the illusion of a coloured die cut which has been mounted onto the black card.

Thank you so much for joining me today, I do hope you have enjoyed the tutorial along with the finished card. I hope you will join me again very soon to see what I have to share with you. For now, Take care and Happy Crafting.xx
