Video Tutorials and Written tutorials to come

Hi Friends and Crafters. Firstly thank you ever so much for your comments and requests for things to bring along for the Back to Basics with Craftascope, if you have any more to add, please leave them in the comments under the video so I can pick them up easily. I do hope you have been enjoying the videos I have been sharing over the last few weeks on youtube. If you haven't seen them they are available on my channel. I will be starting with my written tutorials soon, as I have now had chance to get everything up to date since coming home. A t-shirt I made with the Retro Chaos Stencil from the Retro Collection, it makes such a clear impression and so nice to have something different.

I added a video yesterday, which you might be interested to see. One of the dies (Graceful Striplet) that I was planning to bring in August features. I have decided not to take it any further, but wanted  to show it to you and give you the opportunity to get hold of one of the 11 dies. You do need to watch the video before deciding on your purchase. Most of them are already in peoples baskets, so if you do want a set please act fast, until they are purchased they are not safe in a basket.

Stamps & Stencils by Leonie Pujol My Launch Samples Part One

Tonight the Wonderful Leonie Pujol launched her brand new collection of stamps and stencils. It's been a fantastic launch and they have proved incredibly popular. I have had the pleasure of using them, so I know the reason why everyone wants them.

I am so excited about getting the chance to share the samples that I have made for the launch show with you. They have been a real joy to work with and so versatile. They can be used to create so many looks as well as a variety of styles, so I am sure they are going to suit everyone.

 

I am over the moon for her, I know that she has been incredibly excited (and nervous) to be able to share the launch of her brand. It goes without saying that we will all be looking forward to plenty more beautiful goodies from Leonie Pujol. 

In this post I am just going to share some of the samples I have made, I know everyone loves looking at the finished examples. For crafters that want to know more, I will be posting them separately along with descriptions,from tomorrow.

 

The collection has been well worth waiting for, I know you will love them and more importantly what you can create with them too. I really hope that you enjoy the cards and projects that I am sharing.

A frame card made using my Brother Scan N Cut

This is a frame card I made using my brother Scan n Cut. It is my own design and all done by hand, then coloured using copic markers. Firstly, I started by drawing the design I wanted onto vellum so I could see the photo through it,  slightly larger than I wanted the finished design to be so I could get more detail. It also had to be a negative of what I wanted to keep, so after a few mistakes I finally got the design I wanted. 

I then scanned it into my Brother, reduced it to the size I wanted and cut out the base design onto 300GSM Super Smooth Card. Then I drew the first layer of flowers, again on copier paper, scanned these and had the machine cut them out on the same card. Then this was repeated for the third layer, this time slightly smaller then the first layer, cut out on the same card and then I drew in the fine detail with a copic fine liner.

Finally I coloured all of the layers with copic markers so once the card was finished no white card was showing. It wouldn't have been possible with scissors as some of the branches within the frame are less than 3mm think so it's very delicate. At the back of the base card I have attached a layer of mauve card covered in acetate and the design is placed over the top, this added some protection without loosing the delicate effect.
