Parchment Tree Diorama

Morning, Today I am sharing a project I made for the launch of the Winter Wonderland Signature Collection by Sara. I thought it would be nice to make a boxed Diorama using some of the elements in the collection. I have also added a couple of photos of a Christmas decoration I made using the Star of Bethlehem Die, cut from Parchment.

You will need:
Traditional Tree Die
Star of Bethlehem Die
Foil Transfers
Foils (All three)
Snowflake Acetate
12 x 12 Paper Pad
Parchment
Clarity Groovi Plate
Embossing Tool
Texture Paste
White Flowersoft
Red Liner Tape
Tacky Glue
Tape Runner
Grey Board
Centura Pearl White card

Step 1: Cut all sizes of the Traditional Tree, you will need 2 for each tree you want to make.

Step 2: Add the foil transfer snowflakes to the trees and use the whole selection of foil colours.

Step 3: Use the Groovi Plate to add little dots to the trees.

Step 4: Assemble the trees using the tape runner and some Tacky Glue

Step 5: Cut 2 pieces of Greyboard and join them together. Cut a piece of the decorative paper to add to the backplate of the diorama. Cover the base with texture paste, using a palette knife to add lots of bumps and mounds. sprinkle with Flowersoft and snow to give a real wintery feel to the project. Add the trees.

To finish your project measure your finished piece and make box to fit, use an die to create apertures and add the snowfall acetate. I used the tree dies at either end. Here are some more photos.

Thank you ever so much for joining me today, it's great to have your company. I hope you have enjoyed the tutorial along with the finished card and extra photos. I do hope you will join me again very soon to see what else I have to share with you. For now Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Winterscape

Morning, As soon as I saw these beautiful Christmas Stamps, I knew I wanted to to make a full landscape. Especially as the tree is so large and detailed. It's not very often you come across such a beautiful tree stamp as large as this. It gives such a lot of scope, you can always make a large tree smaller but it's harder to make a small tree larger. Bev from Bee Crafty launched these Christmas Stamps on Hochanda recently and I know they have been incredibly popular.

This card is actually the full width of an A4 sheet of card and 5'' tall. I started by taping my card to my glass mat.

I then took some copier paper and ripped it to make a mask for my landscape, I secured this over my card.

I created the landscape using Shaded Lilac and Faded Jeans Distress ink. Then using both trees, I added groups and single trees across the hills using first and second generation ink. As I worked back, I started to use a mask to add less and less of the tree to give depth to the design.

I then added a very large moon mask to the sky.

I used a selection of Distress inks to blend the sky, Shaded Lilac, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot around the edges, I also removed the mask.

I stamped my chosen Christmas sentiment in the moon using Versafine Black ink. I then added Cosmic Shimmer glue to the trees, mountains and hills and covered with extra fine white flowersoft.

To finish the card I mounted it onto white Centura Pearl cardstock.

I hope you have enjoyed the step by step I have shared with you today as well as the finished card using these lovely stamps. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and hope you will pop along again very soon. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Let it Snow

Morning, Today I have shared a Christmas card, I have made for my collection. It's a long DL card measuring 10 x 4''. I thought it would be nice to have a much wider area for the scene. Very excited to let you know that the lovely Leonie will be Launching her new collection on Hochanda On Wednesday 10th August, It's gong to be another one not to miss.

I took a sheet of Super Smooth card and taped it to my glass mat. On a sheet of copier paper, I cut an aperture for the card and secured in place with washi tape.

Next, I took some copier paper and ripped across it to form masks for my hills and mountains.

To build up the mountains and hills I used Shaded Lilac, blending through Faded Jeans and Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink, to alter the tone of the mountains I added some Pumice Stone.

I stamped my sentiment in to the centre of the sky and added the crescent moon mask hugging the sentiment. I then took 3 sizes of fir tree. To left I added the largest in a group of three, using second and third generation ink. The medium size I added to the right, then I added two of the small trees. I then used the smallest tree and a mask to create some mini trees in the distance. I added a couple of Deer, the larger of the two slightly off the picture.

To blend the sky I used Shaded Lilac, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. I removed the moon mask, added some white flowersoft to the hills and trees as snow. I then took away the aperture I had made and cut down to leave a white boarder around the design.

Finally I backed the piece with black card leaving a 5 mm black boarder around the piece.

I really hope you have enjoyed my step by step today and the card I have shared with you. I do hope you will visit again very soon. I would like to share some exciting news of my own. I have been asked to join the Be Creative Design Team, which I have accepted. I am extremely excited about this and look forward to sharing some designs with you in the future. I will also be adding to their blog regularly and hope I can rely on your support. Take care and Happy Crafting. xx
