Simple Dipped Beeswax Candles and a Video.

Welcome to the weekend everyone, I hope you have something wonderful planned. Thank you to everyone who joined me last evening for the Mixed Media Journal video on Youtube, It's always great to chat with you. I'm sharing another video this evening at 7 pm. It's something very different today, I've been making Candles, so I thought it might be good to share with you.

Over the winter, the weather here in Bulgaria can get nasty, I always like to have a stash of Candles on Hand, ready for the power cuts. I love the smell of the beeswax, they also tend to burn a lot nicer than regular candles and also have a positive effect on the atmosphere. It's very cost effective to make you own and great to know you've made them yourself.

There are 2 basic types of Beeswax, I mainly use the Natural Yellow. They also produce a bleached white beeswax as well but sadly along with the colour goes a lot of the beautiful natural aroma. Obviously is you are thinking of colouring the candles then the white would be a better choice, so definitely worth thinking about before deciding on the type of wax you will use. It's very much personal choice but I'd rather have the natural colour and the amazing scent. A little tip if you do use candles a lot, they will burn a lot longer if they are frozen, before use. Clarity at 25, A celebration Begins!!

Morning Friends and Crafters. The celebrations for Clarity and Barbara Gray, kick off today at 10 am today on Hochanda with another show at 2 pm. We're also going to be treated to a 2 hour special tomorrow (Sun 2nd Sept) at 2 pm and a wonderful One Day Special launching at 6 pm & 8 pm, running through Monday at 9 am, 1 pm with the final call at 5 pm. You really wont want to miss a thing. I had the great honour of a special post on the Hochanda Blog, going live at 10 am today (please watch the show first). It's a special tutorial and sneek peak of something new coming tomorrow. This sample is somewhat different to what you might expect, for now I am sharing a few other Clarity Makes.

This is a mix of Stamping, Inking and Groovi, I always like to mix things up, I am sure you know that by now.

A card for a Special Friend using Jayne's beautiful Agapanthus Groovi plate from Jayne's Floral and Frame Collection.

Here's a Fathers day card made with a mixture of plates from the Celtic Groovi collection. A really wonderful collection of goodies.

Lastly 'The Journey Begins' a mixture of A6 'Classic Vehicles' and 'Air Collection' from The Mens Groovi Collection.

A wonderful new One Day Special Tonight On Hochanda

Morning Friends and Crafters. I am very excited to be sharing a few of the samples with you today for the launch of an amazing collection of 3D Christmas Embossing folders. The launch of the new One Day Special is tonight at 6 pm on Hochanda, I do hope you will tune in to see the wonderful designs.

The designs really are superb, they are perfect when you want a stunning effect for a speedy card. They are so detailed and beautiful that I think it's a real shame to cover them up, they really do all the work for you to give you that special card.

I will be sharing as many as I can. I am going to stay with my Mum for a couple of weeks, so it will be a little quiet until then. I will have an awful lot of cards, projects and news to share with you when I return.

A Friendly Warning, Pleased don't miss this

Good afternoon Crafters and friends. What a lovely afternoon, just been to my friends house as they have just got a lovely Goat and Kid, it was lovely to visit and see them in their new home.
