Good evening to you all, well I am even later tonight. I have had so many things to sort out and I was determined to get a blog post written at the very least. So here I am sharing a collection of sketched faces made using the mens A5 face stencils Trent, Xander, Bailey and Brendon. At the time I designed these there were plenty of 'Ladies' stencils but nothing to help if you wanted a male face for a project. I designed these to be incredibly easy to use whether you are a beginner or more advanced. I have a real time video, it's about 15 minutes long and shows how easy it is to create your own from start to finish.
The stencil has an inside and an outside edge, one edge will give you one look and the inner edge will give you another, then you can also get another look by using a mixture of the 2 edges. You can leave the hair of totally and add a hairstyle of your own choice.
As you progress you can start altering other parts as well and even add more such as shoulders chest etc. It's totally up to you, its a great tool for youngsters too, my nephew has actually used it to learn to sketch draw and paint and now loves it even more, it can really build your confidence to move on.
So it's a great learning tool if you choose to use it like that, but it can also be used in the same way as any regular stencil. With inks, paints, pastes etc, the choice is yours. It's great on t shirts and for so many other projects. Use them in your mixed media, journals, card making and scrapbooks too.
Here is the video, it really is worth watching if you have just 15 minutes or so, if you have already got the stencils why not work along too. It will be here whenever you want so, if you do get hold of them on Sunday's shows, come back and lets draw together. I tell you at the beginning everything you need, which is very little.

Morning Friends and Crafters. The time has come for me to share the last new member of the Craftascope Design Team. I hope you have enjoyed the introductions, They work so hard behind the scenes to share the most amazing projects and Creations. It's important to me to give them credit as they really bring the collections to life. It's like Christmas for me when I get to open the parcels and boxes, it's a real pleasure to share them with you during the shows and afterwards when they are shared on Facebook. So today, Last but by no means least, I am introducing Terri Gifford, here is what she would like to say and some of her Creations:
Hiya, My name is
Terri Gifford, and this is a little bit about myself. I am originally
from Ohio, USA but have lived all over the US and now have been in London
for the past 10 years. My mom always teased me that if I ever made it to
the UK I would never want to go back... I guess she was right.
As I grew up I discovered paper crafting, my favourite being lino
printing and embossing, any type. I also collected paper like others
collect coins or postage stamps. As I delved more into lino printing I
soon discovered stamp carving which i took to like a duck takes to
water... I still love any sort of embossing and stamps but have now found
the world of mixed media and junk journals... woohoo!!!!!
I started my adult
adventure with 6 years in the US Navy fixing computer systems. After that
I went to University in San Diego where I received a degree in Fine Arts of
Interior Design. I practiced design for almost 20 years, at which time I
had the opportunity to move to London.
Since moving here I have become a
dog groomer and now own my own salon in East London. But, through all of
these changes, art and craft have always been there for me, and I try never to
be without it.
During my crafting journey I
have always tried to combine craft with my love of art and design. I
always wanted to mix the two and am so happy to see that they have finally met
in the middle. Although I love most any sort of crafting, I always
return to paper crafting, I usually bring all the others into paper
crafting.
I am delighted to be
selected as one of the newest design team members for Craftascope.
Although I have been doing some sort of art or craft my entire life, I only
just recently started to share my makes. I have just started a YouTube channel
and am now diving into the world of Instagram and even a blog. My life
will always include art and craft, it is a part of me and my way often
expressing myself. I hope you enjoy my journey as much as I am.

I have found it really difficult to go through all of the new items on the shows, I was even pushed on the One Day Special as I like to spend more time on the demos. I thought part of my Natter with Nick, will be to take one of the items and go through it in a little more detail.
Then maybe 5 minutes or so to got through a selection of the samples made for the show, which will show how the new products have been used and any other uses. Then any questions from you, anything Craftascope or related. Then maybe a short demo, again concentrating on the particular item featured in the show. Then finally a little chat or any more questions we can cover.
I think many of you know me well enough by now, that I will never recommend or use anything that I dont 100% believe in. At the end of the day, it's my reputation. If I recommended something that I didn't believe in, I would soon lose all credibility. There are certain brands and products that you will always here me talking about or using and there the ones I find are best quality and give excellent results again and again.
