Wishes

Hello, Many of you will know, just how much I liked using the Ladies Profile stamp from Bee Crafty. This card was made for the show at Alexandra Palace at the weekend, so I thought I would share it with you today. I also used the wonderful Sparkle Pens that Leonie launched a little while ago on Hochanda.

I started by stamping the Ladies Profile stamp in the top right hand corner of my card, I used black Archival for this.

Next I bent the Dandelion stamp to make it look like the lady was blowing the seed heads. I then stamped some additional seed heads.

I used the head of the dandelion around the card to form a little border. Then chose my sentiment and stamped using black Archival ink.

To mask off the profile, I used Pebeo Drawing gum. I wanted the colour to show from behind all of the other images so didn't mask anything else.

To colour the background, I used the beautiful Sparkle pens from Leonie. Fading from Cobalt through to Arctic, both from the'Frosty Christmas' set going onto Iris and Lavender from the 'Wrapped Up' set. Lastly I removed the drawing gum and shaded the lady with a selection of alcohol markers. I added a mat using blue Centura Pearl card from the darks collection from Crafters Companion.

Thank you for visiting today, I hope you have enjoyed the step by step I have shared and the finished project. I hope you will visit again soon. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Poinsettia Wreath

Today's Project was really fun to make and decorate. For this I used the New Wonder Embossing Crystals that Justin & Gordon from Be Creative, launched on Hochanda during the Birthday week. I also used the Winter Die from Leonie along with the Poinsettia dies from Sue Wilson.

The heart shaped wreath was already made. I made  a lot of wreaths last year using the prunings from my grapevines but this one was ready made, so I had the fun part of decorating it. I started by cutting out the Winter die. I had already covered the card I was using with a wonder sheet. I peeled off the backing sheet and coated using the 'Celebration Blue' Wonder Embossing Crystals.

Next, I covered another piece of card with a Wonder Sheet, then I cut out a selection of poinsettias, using dies from Sue Wilson.

At the same time I cut out some foliage. I used 'Celebration Red' and 'Carnelian' Wonder Crystals to colour the poinsettias. Then 'Verdite Green' and 'Pistachio' to emboss the leaves.

I shaped all of the elements by wrapping them around a marker pen. This way the Crystals wont crack as they are really easy to manipulate. I layered  the flowers using Collall 3D glue gel and placed around the wreath using a hot glue gun. I then added the 'Winter' to the right side of the wreath and added the foliage in the same way. To finish the project I added a gold satin bow and it was ready to hang.

Thank you so much for visiting today. I hope you have enjoyed the step by step that I have shared and the finished project. I hope that you will join me again very soon. Take care and Happy Crafting. xx

Vintage Wishes

Morning, I am sharing a card I made using the Christmas Collection that Bev from Bee Crafty brought to Hochanda. I wanted to make a card with a vintage style, I thought that it would really suit the sentiment that I chose to use.

I must apologise for the lack of photos for this one. I am not sure where they went but somewhere between taking them and downloading them to my laptop they disappeared. I will just have to explain today and share the pictures that survived. I started by stamping the beautiful Elegant tree using Cobalt Archival ink. I stamped it four times, lining it up and joining them in the centre, to give the lovely pattern. Next using a brayer, I randomly rolled over the whole piece with Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Picket Fence. I didn't want this perfect as it was supposed to look like a pressed image.

Next using the fancy Merry Christmas, I stamped it in the corner, using black Versafine Ink.

Finally to finish, I back the piece onto black card to form a nice frame.

I hope you like the finished card, I am sorry that all the photos weren't available and that you can understand my explanation. Thank you so much for your visit and hope to see you very soon. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Christmas Joy

Morning, Today's card has been made with papers from the paper pads and the New Wonder Embossing Crystals that Justin & Gordon from Be Creative launched on Hochanda for the Birthday Week.

The paper pads have been great to work with and are such great quality. I took the pine tree sheet from the pad for this card and used the full sheet.

To start with I blended around the edges just to add a little distressing, here I used Faded Jeans, but any of the blues would work well for this particular card depending on your embellishments.

From an identical sheet from the pad I cut 'Joy' from Sue Wilson along with a frame from the same die set. I cut an inner oval on a sheet of plain card which I had already stuck a Wonder Sheet to.

I took another sheet of card which was covered with a Wonder Sheet, from this I cut a selection of poinsettias in different sizes using a die set from Sue Wilson.

Next I added some Faded Jeans Distress Ink to the 'Joy' and the frame.

I stuck the oval Wonder Sheet to the back of my main oval after peeling the coating off, I placed the 'Joy' back inside.

I then poured over 'Midnight Blue' Diamond Sparkles which stuck to the wonder sheet. I also secured the frame using Cosmic Shimmer.

I stamped my sentiment from the new stamp set and layered the card onto cream and blue card.

Using foam tape I raised the 'Joy' topper from the card for dimension.

Having embossed all of the poinsettias using the Celebration Red Wonder Crystals, I shaped them with a ball tool, layered them and secured to my card using Collall 3D glue gel.

I am so pleased that you have stopped by to look at the finished project. I do hope that you have enjoyed the Step by Step. Please stop by again very soon. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Winterscape

Morning, As soon as I saw these beautiful Christmas Stamps, I knew I wanted to to make a full landscape. Especially as the tree is so large and detailed. It's not very often you come across such a beautiful tree stamp as large as this. It gives such a lot of scope, you can always make a large tree smaller but it's harder to make a small tree larger. Bev from Bee Crafty launched these Christmas Stamps on Hochanda recently and I know they have been incredibly popular.

This card is actually the full width of an A4 sheet of card and 5'' tall. I started by taping my card to my glass mat.

I then took some copier paper and ripped it to make a mask for my landscape, I secured this over my card.

I created the landscape using Shaded Lilac and Faded Jeans Distress ink. Then using both trees, I added groups and single trees across the hills using first and second generation ink. As I worked back, I started to use a mask to add less and less of the tree to give depth to the design.

I then added a very large moon mask to the sky.

I used a selection of Distress inks to blend the sky, Shaded Lilac, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot around the edges, I also removed the mask.

I stamped my chosen Christmas sentiment in the moon using Versafine Black ink. I then added Cosmic Shimmer glue to the trees, mountains and hills and covered with extra fine white flowersoft.

To finish the card I mounted it onto white Centura Pearl cardstock.

I hope you have enjoyed the step by step I have shared with you today as well as the finished card using these lovely stamps. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and hope you will pop along again very soon. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Happy Christmas Tree

Morning, For this project I used quite a lot of the stamps that Leonie launched on Hochanda alongside the beautiful Sparkle pens. It took quite a lot of masking but I think it was well worth it. The Christmas Tree elements are excellent and can be used to make much more than just a tree.

I planned where the tree was going to sit on my card and first stamped the tree lights, then masked them with Pebeo Drawing gum. Next I moved to the presents and lastly the tree, masking as I went.

I stamped the sentiment in the corner and while the drawing gum was still in place I added the colour using the Cobalt and Arctic to blend around the card from my mat, (it does stain your smoothie) Then I removed the drawing gum.

Apart from the presents, I used the pens without any additives. I wanted the full sparkle for this card. It didn't disappoint, the sparkle effect is out of this word.

To finish the card, I backed it onto Silver Mirri card and then onto a black card base.

Thank you so much for your visit today, I hope you have enjoyed the step by step I have shared and the finished card. I would love to hear how you are getting on with your sparkle pens if you were lucky enough to get them. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx
