Angel Wings

Morning, Just a little reminder, Leonie is launching her Brand New Collection tonight on Hochanda at 8 pm, dont forget to tune in, it's sure to be filled with crafty goodness. Today I decided to share this card with you, I wanted to make a background that really contrasted with the beautifully drawn Angel fro Leonie's last collection. This one is a little grungy, like the Angel was appearing through a magical tunnel. I like that Leonies stamps enable you to get so many different looks despite her style being so unique.

To begin with I stamped the Angel in the centre of a 7'' square card, I then masked her off with one I had cut from copier paper to allow me to position the wings.

Then I masked her off with Pebeo Drawing gum and allowed it to dry.

Next I created my background tunnel for her. I sprinkled some Cobalt Blue Brusho's into the centre of the card, then dipped my finger into some gel medium and swirled in a circular motion to spread the colour pattern. I did the same again, further out with Orange Brusho's and repeated this until the card was covered. Then I removed the gum and coloured using my alcohol markers.

Next I backed this with blue mirri card and stamped the 'Love' in the right hand corner.

I then created another tunnel layer using the same technique as before but this time I used Grey Brusho's towards the centre then Cobalt Blue, alternating between the 2 until the card was covered. To  further tie this to my card, I used the background stamp in my hand, randomly stamping with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.

To finish the card, I layered the background on to the same Mirri card and secured the front to this using foam tape to raise it from the base.

Thank you for joining me today, I hope you enjoyed your visit and that you will stop by again soon. Tonight I will be sharing some of the samples I made for Leonie's New Collection, Hope you will check back later. Take care and Happy Crafting.
