Morning Crafters, Today I am sharing a little project made with the summer collection from Crafters Companion. The lovely Fiona launched the wonderful Spring/Summer Collection on Good Friday, If you missed the shows, do take a look at rewind. I very rarely make a pink card, but I have for this one. I have included a full Tutorial on my blog today with full details and extra photos.
You Will Need:
Basic Circle Dies
Centura Pearl Whit 'Hint of Silver'
Matching pink Ribbon
Victorian Velvet Distress Ink
White Wax Crayon
Foam Pads
Tacky Glue
Step 1: Cut out the detail die and use a basic circle die as well to cut it from your card. While still in the dies, blend with the Distress Ink to leave shading around the edges.
Step 2: Cut another basic circle, 3 sizes larger to create a mat. Emboss this and rub all over with a wax crayon.
Step 3: Take a square of Sheena Stamping card measuring 6 x 6, use the distress ink to blend around the edges.
Step 4: Make a card base from the Centura Pearl, measuring 6 1/2 x 6 1/2''.
Step 5: Using the Distress Ink shade the centre of a circle the same size as your detailed topper, then layer this underneath your topper with Collall Tacky Glue.
Step 6: Blend over your embossed circle with Distress ink, once dry buff with kitchen roll to reveal the effect.
Step 7: Tie a bow using matching ribbon.
Step 8: Cut the four corner sections and shade with the Distress ink while they are still in the die.
Step 9: Wrap a length of the ribbon across the centre of your card and secure behind using tape. Add the four corners to the piece and then layer it onto your card base.
Step 10: Add your embossed circle, then layer your topper using foam pads for extra depth, Finish your card with the matching bow.
Thank you so much for joining me today, I hope you have enjoyed the tutorial and the finished card. I look forward to seeing you again soon.Take care and Happy Crafting.xx
