Parchment Tree Diorama

Morning, Today I am sharing a project I made for the launch of the Winter Wonderland Signature Collection by Sara. I thought it would be nice to make a boxed Diorama using some of the elements in the collection. I have also added a couple of photos of a Christmas decoration I made using the Star of Bethlehem Die, cut from Parchment.

You will need:
Traditional Tree Die
Star of Bethlehem Die
Foil Transfers
Foils (All three)
Snowflake Acetate
12 x 12 Paper Pad
Parchment
Clarity Groovi Plate
Embossing Tool
Texture Paste
White Flowersoft
Red Liner Tape
Tacky Glue
Tape Runner
Grey Board
Centura Pearl White card

Step 1: Cut all sizes of the Traditional Tree, you will need 2 for each tree you want to make.

Step 2: Add the foil transfer snowflakes to the trees and use the whole selection of foil colours.

Step 3: Use the Groovi Plate to add little dots to the trees.

Step 4: Assemble the trees using the tape runner and some Tacky Glue

Step 5: Cut 2 pieces of Greyboard and join them together. Cut a piece of the decorative paper to add to the backplate of the diorama. Cover the base with texture paste, using a palette knife to add lots of bumps and mounds. sprinkle with Flowersoft and snow to give a real wintery feel to the project. Add the trees.

To finish your project measure your finished piece and make box to fit, use an die to create apertures and add the snowfall acetate. I used the tree dies at either end. Here are some more photos.

Thank you ever so much for joining me today, it's great to have your company. I hope you have enjoyed the tutorial along with the finished card and extra photos. I do hope you will join me again very soon to see what else I have to share with you. For now Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Autumn Sunset

Morning, I wanted to share a card, made using Leonie's Dies in a different way. If you did miss the Launch shows for Leonie's Stamp and Die collection on on Hochanda, It is still available on their website via the Catch Up facility on the TV Schedule (8th & 9th June). Don't wait too long as it will soon disappear.

To start I cut the 'Entwining Branches' Die from copier paper to make myself a mask. Then positioned and secured to my Velvet cardstock, which measured 6'' Square.

I built up my landscape first, using a selection of distress inks and masks. You can use torn copier paper to make masks for the hills and mountains. For this I used: Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge and a small touch of Aged Mahogany. I blended the colours to leave very pale colours at the bottoms of the hills and mountains to add a feeling of depth.

I then added my trees to the landscape sizing them to add to the perspective of the land. The are tree stamps Drawn by Sheen Douglas.

I positioned a circle mask, which would become my sun and coloured the sky using mainly scattered Straw, blending the edges with a little Wild Honey Distress Ink.

I removed the mask from the sun and added a small amount of Scattered Straw Distress ink to take away the starkness of the white. I then added the 'Be Happy' stamp. I finally matted this onto Satin Gold card before mounting onto my base card.

I hope you like today's project along with the step by step I have included. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and I hope you will be back again, Bye for now, Take care and hope to see you tomorrow for more.xxx
