Festive Sweetie Bag

Morning, Thank you for popping by today I am sharing a festive piece that will coordinate with some other projects I will share with you later. They have all been made using the beautiful collection that Leonie launched on Hochanda.

I started by measuring the bag that was to contain the sweets. Obviously you could use any size of bag and put anything inside. My bag measured 4 3/4'' so this was the width I needed my card to be. I wanted about 2'' to overhang the bag each side, so I cut the card to 4 3/4 x 4'' and scored it at 2''. I then stamped the clarity letterbox squares and masked them off.

On the opposite side, I stamped a sentiment from the set and the stocking strip stamp, I masked this off with Pebeo Drawing Gum.

Taking a selection of snowflake stamps, I covered both sides using Shaded Lilac and Blueprint Sketch Distress ink and Summer Sky from memento.

Next I shaded around the design using Shaded Lilac and a little Blueprint Sketch.

I took my alphabet stamps from Clarity and stamped 'LEONIE' in the boxes.

Next I removed the drawing gum and coloured the stockings using Spectrum Aqua Markers.

Finally I filled the bag with sweets and secured the closure/topper i had made with red liner tape.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. I hope you enjoyed the step by step and the finished article. Hope to see you again soon, Take care and Happy Crafting.xx
