Blizzard

Bev from Bee Crafty launched the MDF on Hochanda during the 'Live from Ally Pally' shows, it was so popular that it sold out twice during the show. Luckily when she launched the New Christmas Stamps on 26th September was able to bring it back. It's wonderful quality and I have loved using it. I am sharing this project which I made with it along with the stamps from the last 2 launches, they all work so well together.

There was no need to prime the MDF first, I painted the sky with Grandma's Teacup Acrylic paint from Indigo Blu, I dragged the brush a little to get some texture. To add the clouds I stippled some System 3 white paint from Daler Rowney, it's incredibly thick and gives great texture.

When this was dry I stamped the words 'Snow' from one sentiment and 'Blizzard' from another using Cobalt Archival Ink and left to dry.

Using Bamboo Leaves Memento ink, I stamped the trees at varying heights to give some perspective and add distance to the project once I had added the landscape.

To add the landscape I used Texture Paste, I coloured it here to show up better on the photos, but thinking about it now I didn't need to for this. I added the paste with a palette knife making the mountain range as real looking as possible.

Next I added the snowflakes to the sky using Blueprint Sketch Distress ink.

I then used Titanium white Acrylic paint to colour the mountains, then adding a small amount of black I added some texture here and there. Next I added some blue to the mountains and also some Grandma's teacup to add the contrast. When this was dry, I added some Cosmic Shimmer glue to areas over the mountains and added Ice Diamonds for the sparkle.

Thank you for joining me again today, I really hope you have enjoyed this project and the step by step. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Exciting New Bee Crafty Launch Today

Morning, I am so excited to be sharing some of the samples I have made for the Bee Crafty shows today on Hochanda. Please tune in, there are some amazing Crafty Goodies, including the most wonderful paper stack. It's been lovely to use along with the stamps and on it's own. The shows are on at 10 am, 1 pm and 5 pm.

The quality of the paper is amazing, it has the most beautiful finish to it and takes inks beautifully. I have also used my alcohol markers on it, I would highly recommend you get your hands on these fast, so you dont miss out.

I have used it as a scrapbook page as well, you can stamp on it with ease for adding even more detail and texture. Although I have to say it's stunning left well alone, depending on what you would like for your project of course.

As you probably know, I adore the Bee Crafty Wordage as they suit all occasions, they are so versatile and different to other sentiments out there, they also stamp beautifully.

I will look forward to sharing the step by steps with you over time, so I hope you will join me for those. Thank you for stopping by today, I do hope you will be back very soon. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Imagination

For this card I used the collection that Leonie launched on Hochanda earlier this week. It's been another wonderful collection to craft with. For this I was after a summery look to cheer us all up before the weather closes in on us ready for winter.

I had decided I wanted to use the balloon stamps to be carrying 'Imagine' over the hills. Having the selection of sizes of masks really helps you to get the feeling of distance with this one appearing as if the smaller one is farther away. I placed my words using Stick n Spray from Crafters Companion and then stamping the balloons in place.

Next after deciding roughly where my land would be, I added some grasses and flower stamps from the collection and masked with Pebeo Drawing gum.

Using torn copier paper I added my hills and landscape, the colour was Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. For the sky I used Summer Sky Distress Ink, leaving areas paler to give the summery fluffy clouds.

I then removed the drawing gum and coloured my images with a selection of my alcohol markers.

To finish I layered my piece onto navy card and then onto a pastel blue Centura Pearl card using Cosmic Shimmer.

Thank you for stopping by today I hope you enjoyed your visit and will come again soon. My post tomorrow is to show you the samples I have made for the Bee Crafty Launch on Hochanda. The shows are at 10 am, 1 pm and 5 pm tomorrow, I hope you will take a look. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Dreams

Welcome to my first step by step using Leonie's new collection, Launched on Hochanda on Thursday Evening. If you did miss the shows, you can still see them on the 'Rewind' section of the Hochanda website. The shows with Leonie are always packed full of inspiration.

After spraying my masks with Stick n Spray from Crafters Companion, I positioned them onto my card. Here I used 3 sizes of the 'Dream' Word.

To begin with I started to build up my pattern by stamping either end of the main focal word and the smaller words, keeping the balance.

Next I added more stamps to my design along with a few to bring the smaller words together without actually joining them up. Once I was happy with the design, I masked the images with Pebeo Drawing Gum.

I then gently started blending my colours within the centre with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink, then to the edges of the piece. I continued to blend until I had deepened the colour enough.

Next I deepened the colour further by adding Blueprint Sketch and finally adding some Chipped Sapphire.

Then I removed the masks along with the Drawing Gum, I also removed any residue that was left from the spray.

I coloured the stamping with Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers.

To frame the piece, I matted it onto Mat black card with Cosmic Shimmer glue before mounting it onto a purple Centura Pearl base from the darks collection.

Thank you so much for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed the step by step and what I have shared today. I look forward to you stopping by again very soon. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

The launch was on the 18 April.

Leonie Pujol Launch Samples Part 1

It's been a long time since Leonie first launched her first collection on Hochanda, which was so different to anything we had seen before. I loved using those and to have a new selection to craft with has been very exciting.

There are six sets of stamps in the collection, all very different and wonderful to use along with the concept of 'White Space'. But also excellent to use singly to create stunning cards and projects whatever your style of crafting.

Within the collection there is also a brand new selection of inspirational words to use alone or in conjunction with the stamp collection.

Don't forget to visit my fellow Design Team members for even more inspiration. We have all produced very different designs, which I am sure you will love. Here are the links for them.

Thank you for taking the time to have a look at what I have made. I do hope you will pop by tomorrow to see some more of the projects I have to share. Take care and Happy Crafting.xxx

Angel Wings

Morning, Just a little reminder, Leonie is launching her Brand New Collection tonight on Hochanda at 8 pm, dont forget to tune in, it's sure to be filled with crafty goodness. Today I decided to share this card with you, I wanted to make a background that really contrasted with the beautifully drawn Angel fro Leonie's last collection. This one is a little grungy, like the Angel was appearing through a magical tunnel. I like that Leonies stamps enable you to get so many different looks despite her style being so unique.

To begin with I stamped the Angel in the centre of a 7'' square card, I then masked her off with one I had cut from copier paper to allow me to position the wings.

Then I masked her off with Pebeo Drawing gum and allowed it to dry.

Next I created my background tunnel for her. I sprinkled some Cobalt Blue Brusho's into the centre of the card, then dipped my finger into some gel medium and swirled in a circular motion to spread the colour pattern. I did the same again, further out with Orange Brusho's and repeated this until the card was covered. Then I removed the gum and coloured using my alcohol markers.

Next I backed this with blue mirri card and stamped the 'Love' in the right hand corner.

I then created another tunnel layer using the same technique as before but this time I used Grey Brusho's towards the centre then Cobalt Blue, alternating between the 2 until the card was covered. To  further tie this to my card, I used the background stamp in my hand, randomly stamping with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.

To finish the card, I layered the background on to the same Mirri card and secured the front to this using foam tape to raise it from the base.

Thank you for joining me today, I hope you enjoyed your visit and that you will stop by again soon. Tonight I will be sharing some of the samples I made for Leonie's New Collection, Hope you will check back later. Take care and Happy Crafting.
